The zoo covers an area of 55 acres, making it one of the largest and oldest zoos in the Kingdom.

The zoo is also famous for its train ride, which offers a 20-minute tour of the entire zoo.

One of the most notable features of the zoo is the presence of rare animals that can be seen within its walls. These include the white tiger, the second-largest tiger species in the world after Siberian tigers, which lives in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. There is also the yellow crocodile, the smallest crocodile species in the world, which is found in China, the sun bear, which lives in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, the white lion, found in the forests of Malaysia and endangered, and the aardwolf, which inhabits Somalia and the Red Sea coasts. Other animals have been brought from various countries for visitors to see in Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh Zoo Events at Riyadh Season
The events at Riyadh Zoo began on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, and will continue until Saturday, December 14, 2024. Visitors are welcomed daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saudi time. Tickets can be booked electronically via the WeBook platform. The General Entertainment Authority has announced a surprise for the current Riyadh Season, as the zoo is offering free entry, but advance ticket reservations are required for entry.

The Riyadh Zoo offers many unique activities during Riyadh Season 2024, providing entertainment opportunities for all visitors. The first of these experiences is at the Kangaroo Arena, where visitors are allowed to safely approach the kangaroos. They can also interact with and get close to various types of crocodiles, but in a safe manner with the help of supervisors. Additionally, visitors will have the chance to see the largest bird cage, where they can enjoy a unique experience inside the largest bird cage, interact with the birds, and take selfies with them.

- Enter your email address and password, or create a new account if you don’t have one, then log in.
- Select the date of your visit and the number of tickets required.
- Print the tickets on your phone to use them for entry to the zoo.
